1. When the ball end milling cutter is milling a curved surface, the cutting speed at the tip is very low. If the ball cutter is used to mill a relatively flat surface perpendicular to the machined surface, the surface quality of the ball cutter tip is relatively poor, so The spindle speed should be appropriately increased, and cutting with the tool tip should also be avoided.
2. Avoid vertical cutting. There are two types of flat-bottomed cylindrical milling cutters, one is that there is a top hole on the end face, and the end edge is not in the center.
The other is that the end face has no top hole, and the end blades are connected and passed through the center. When milling curved surfaces, an end mill with a center hole must never feed vertically downward like a drill, unless a process hole is pre-drilled. Otherwise, the milling cutter will be broken off. If an end knife without a top hole is used, the knife can be fed vertically downward, but because the angle of the blade is too small and the axial force is large, it should also be avoided as much as possible.
3. In the milling of curved surface parts, if it is found that the heat treatment of the part material is not good, there are cracks, and the structure is uneven, etc., the processing should be stopped in time to avoid wasting working hours.
4. CNC machining centers generally require a long period of time when milling complex surfaces of mold cavities. Therefore, the machine tools, fixtures and tools should be properly checked before milling each time to avoid failures in the middle and affect the processing. precision, and even cause scrap.
5. When the CNC machining center is milling the mold cavity, the trimming allowance should be properly controlled according to the roughness of the machined surface. For the parts that are difficult to be milled, if the surface roughness of the machined surface is poor, more margin for repairing should be reserved; for the parts that are easy to machine such as planes and right-angle grooves, the roughness value of the machined surface should be reduced as much as possible to reduce the repairing work. To avoid affecting the accuracy of the cavity surface due to large-area repairing.
