5 machining tips for CNC machining center programming!

In the machining process of CNC machining center, it is very important to avoid collision of CNC machining center when programming and operating machining. Because the price of CNC machining centers is very expensive, ranging from hundreds of thousands of yuan to millions of yuan, maintenance is difficult and expensive. However, there are certain rules to follow in the occurrence of collisions, and they can be avoided. The following summarizes 6 points for everyone. I hope you can collect them well~

1. Computer simulation system

With the development of computer technology and the continuous expansion of CNC machining teaching, there are more and more NC machining simulation systems, and their functions are becoming more and more perfect. Therefore, it can be used in an initial inspection program to observe the movement of the tool to determine if a collision is possible.

2.Use the simulation display function of the CNC machining center

Generally, more advanced CNC machining centers have graphic display functions. After the program is input, the graphic simulation display function can be invoked to observe the movement track of the tool in detail, so as to check whether there is a possibility of collision between the tool and the workpiece or fixture.

3.Use the dry run function of the CNC machining center
The correctness of the tool path can be checked by using the dry run function of the CNC machining center. After the program is input into the CNC machining center, the tool or workpiece can be loaded, and then the dry run button is pressed. At this time, the spindle does not rotate, and the worktable automatically runs according to the program trajectory. At this time, it can be found whether the tool may be in contact with the workpiece or fixture. bump. However, in this case, it must be ensured that when the workpiece is installed, the tool cannot be installed; when the tool is installed, the workpiece cannot be installed, otherwise a collision will occur.

4.Use the locking function of the CNC machining center
General CNC machining centers have a locking function (full lock or single-axis lock). After entering the program, lock the Z-axis, and judge whether a collision will occur through the coordinate value of the Z-axis. The application of this function should avoid operations such as tool change, otherwise the program cannot be passed

5. Improve programming skills

Programming is a crucial link in NC machining, and improving programming skills can largely avoid unnecessary collisions.

For example, when milling the inner cavity of the workpiece, when the milling is completed, the milling cutter needs to be quickly retracted to 100mm above the workpiece. If N50 G00 X0 Y0 Z100 is used to program, the CNC machining center will link the three axes at this time, and the milling cutter may be in contact with the workpiece. Collision occurs, causing damage to the tool and the workpiece, which seriously affects the accuracy of the CNC machining center. At this time, the following program can be used: N40 G00 Z100; N50 X0 Y0; that is, the tool retreats to 100mm above the workpiece, and then returns to the programmed zero point, so that it will not collision.

In short, mastering the programming skills of machining centers can better improve machining efficiency and quality, and avoid unnecessary mistakes in machining. This requires us to constantly sum up experience and improve in practice, so as to further strengthen the programming and processing capabilities.
